Innovation in communications technology is rapidly changing the social and economic landscape in the developing world.  Mobile technology, geographic information systems (GIS) and other ICT mechanisms can provide smallholder farmers and agribusinesses access to information, finance and resources quickly and at low cost. When applied effectively, CNFA Europe understands that ICT can be used as a powerful tool in programme implementation, as well as Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). We are integrating these innovative technologies in our programmes to deliver more effective ways to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and promote commercial agribusiness.
