Louisa (Bauka) Namicheishvili is an international development professional with over 20 years of experience, including more than 12 years in senior leadership positions. She has managed and guided multi-donor programs with a cumulative portfolio of approximately $120 million, focusing on agricultural transformation, trade diversification, and market systems development.
Her leadership has emphasized the application of market- and food-systems approaches, the design of innovative co-investment and grant-making mechanisms, and the development and expansion of Farm and Machinery Service Center models to improve access to inputs and services for farmers in Georgia. She has advanced inclusive development by fostering youth engagement, strengthening women’s economic empowerment, and designing capacity-building initiatives that integrate farmers, cooperatives, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and associations into dynamic value chains.
Namicheishvili’s work also centers on advancing green and climate-smart practices while building partnerships that connect the private sector, government institutions, and international stakeholders. She is fluent in Georgian, English, and Russian, and is recognized for combining technical expertise with strategic vision to deliver systemic and sustainable impact.
She holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and a Master of Science in Physics/Biophysics from Tbilisi State University.
