Devry Boughner Vorwerk


Devry Boughner Vorwerk is founder and CEO of DevryBV Sustainable Strategies. Most recently, Vorwerk served as chief corporate affairs officer at Grubhub, a mobile food delivery company. At Grubhub she led government relations and public policy, communications, sustainability, and brand for the company. In her role, Vorwerk was responsible for developing a cohesive brand voice and fostering relationships across government, industry and civil society to help drive growth and promote Grubhub’s continued commitment to supporting restaurants, drivers and diners.

Vorwerk had a nearly 15-year career at Cargill, a global food and agriculture company where she served as chief communications officer and head of global corporate affairs. In 2016 she joined the law firm Akin Gump as senior policy advisor in the law and public policy practice. Earlier in her career, Vorwerk served as chief economist for the chairman of the U.S. International Trade Commission and senior economist in agricultural affairs at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Vorwerk has a bachelor’s degree and Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of California, Davis and Cornell University.
